Q-Tech Communication’s Data Centers at 2115 Butterfield

Our Data Centers offer strong physical security features, including state-of-the-art pre-action fire suppression systems, very early smoke and fire detection, uninterrupted AC power, 24x7 secured card access, as well as video surveillance and security breach alarms. Within the facility, we are able to deliver the highest level of reliability through redundant sub-systems, diverse Telco provisioning and Internet connectivity, fully redundant power and multiple back up generators.

Here are some of the features:

  • Q-Tech facilities are custom designed with HVAC temperature control systems with separate cooling zones.
  • Q-Tech Data Centers feature an advanced fire detection and suppression system, based on a combination of advanced warning and dry pipe, pre-action fire suppression sprinklers. This pre-action double interlock dry system is the industry standard. Smoke and high temperature heat detectors eliminate the accidental dispensing of water.
  • Diesel Generator able to provide power to the facility for more than 24 hours with agreements in place with multiple suppliers for re-fueling in the case of extended outages.
  • UPS protection for the Data Center than can provide up to four hours of battery power to the systems housed within.
  • Multiple Power Grids, on different sub-stations.
  • High-level physical site security, including 24 hour alarm monitoring, video surveillance, card access, biometric scanners and strict need to access policies.
  • Above industry standard internal network security, including network wide anti-virus, intruder detection and user monitoring.
  • Each Telco provider enters our facilities through separate discreet entrances.
  • Q-Tech is located less than 30 feet from the main fiber trunks. This proximity to the fiber ring makes 2115 Butterfield a unique location for production and Disaster Recovery services.
  • SBC Sonet Ring is also available.
  • On-Net Q-Tech dedicated facility with MCI fibermux co-located in our 2nd data center. OC-3 and OC-12 from MCI, located on a Sonet Ring. Additional bandwidth available (up to OC-192 can be made available).
  • On-Net Q-Tech dedicated facility with AT&T fibermux co-located in our data center. OC-3 and OC-48, located on a Sonet Ring. Additional bandwidth available (up to OC-192 can be made available). AT&T had their point of presence located in this Oak Brook facility, which is now owned by Q-Tech.
